Scimitar are delighted to reveal that Rugby Union star Ross Neal has joined as Brand Ambassador.
Ross, who has played Premiership and European Champions Cup Rugby for Wasps and also for top-level outfit London Irish, recently made the switch to Seattle Seawolves in USA’s fast-growing Major League Rugby.
Ross attended RGS High Wycombe before joining the London Irish Academy after school, before an impressive season for London Scottish in the Championship. His performances there saw him earn a deal with Wasps where he impressed in Europe and England’s top levels. After signing for Seattle in early 2020, Ross returned home during the Coronavirus pandemic and enjoyed a spell with Irish again, before playing in the inaugural World Tens Series in Bermuda with London Royals.
Just last week, he flew back to the USA to re-join his Seattle teammates ahead of the new season. Aside from playing professional rugby, Ross has a strong interest in natural world conservation as well as theatre, NBA, NFL, Cricket and Formula 1.
Ross, 25, said: “I’m really excited to be partnering with a company that prioritises sustainability while producing high-quality performance clothing that looks good.
“I use the leisurewear range for working out in the gym, going on runs and walks, and it’s comfy to relax in. The fact that I’m passionate about preserving the natural world and playing my part in conservation, and the fact that the clothing is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, played a big role in why I wanted to become an ambassador for Scimitar.”
Scimitar Social Media & Campaigns Manager Tom Vale said: “We’re delighted to have Ross join us as an ambassador and we’re looking to bring on board more like-minded people to support our brand, who buy in to what we are doing.”
